I am proud to report that I have been selected by the World Baseball Association to be their Northeast Regional Director.

World Baseball Association provides an opportunity for more youth baseball players to experience the fun and excitement of post-season tournament play through the WBA Super Regional Tournaments and the WBA World Series.

  • WBA is a sanctioning organization for youth baseball
  • WBA offers post-season play opportunities in all regions of the US including Alaska & Hawaii
  • WBA does not replace a team's current league affiliation
  • WBA does offer an opportunity for league tams that are "left-behind" to have an opportunity for post season play
  • WBA does offer an alternative method of qualifying for post season play that will allow more teams to participate
  • WBA offers competition for three skill levels ages 9-12 and competition for two skill levels ages 13-14
  • WBA will welcome teams from all other league and tournament affiliations. It is not a conflict for teams to belong to WBA and another organization at the same time. Further, and upon qualification, the team can choose if they wish to attend the WBA Super Regional in their region
  • To join the WBA, simply visit the registration page, fill out the registration form, and submit your form with your payment. Very soon afterward, you will receive your team number by email. You can then use your team number to enter the secure part of our site and set up your team mini-site. You control access to your team's mini-site. Using your mini-site, you report your game points for all games your team plays. Upon achieving the required point leve, you will be notified of your qualification for the Super Regional in you area. It's easy to manage and fun for your team.
  • If you win your division at the Super Regional, your team advances to the WBA World Series. Great baseball experiences and memories!

WBA is currently running a special - WBA TEAM MEMBERSHIP ($1.00) I have also just been informed that any teams from our region that sign-up with WBA will receive a bye for the Super Regional and receive an automatic bid to play in the 1st annual WBA World Series to be held in Hershey, PA this summer! Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity! Sign-up for only $1.00 and register for the World Series!  Go to www.wbabaseball.org to sign-up your team and register for the WS!

More Information on WBA

Most youth baseball leagues only form 1 All-Star team at season’s end to participate in their sanctioned tournament. Some leagues aren’t even sanctioned. This leaves an awful lot of young baseball players here on Long Island unable to take part in the fun and excitement of post-season tournament baseball. WBA is here for those ballplayers.

The three skill levels available are:

  • All-Star - Ages 9-12.  This division was designed primarily for teams from in-house/rec. leagues.  Not required to report points but must be registered with WBA to register for & attend Super Regionals. This is the perfect situation for a local in-house/rec. league to field a second All-Star team to participate in a the WBA post-season.  Any coach can reserve a spot for his team simply by registering at the WBA website. Rosters do not need to be until team check-in time at the Super Regional tournament.
  • Classic (AA) - Ages 9-14.  Travel/select teams - Required to report points to WBA to qualify for Super Regionals.  Rosters must be reported to WBA by Apirl 30.
  • Premier (AAA)- Ages 9-14. Highest level travel/select teams - Required to report points to WBA to qualify for Super Regionals. Rosters must be reported to WBA by April 30.
