SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL & SOFTBALL ACADEMY OF DEER PARK MOVES TO EAST NORTHPORT AND EXPANDS OFFERINGS AS CGI-COMPLETE GAME INSTITUTE IN A BRAND NEW FACILITY
Rob Steinert, Director of Baseball Operations and Head Pitching Instructor of Spring Training Baseball & Softball Academy, announced today the opening of CGI Complete Game Institute. Steinert, owner and former pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays and NY Mets, states: “Our brand new 10,000 sq. ft. facility combines the success of Spring Training Baseball & Softball Academy with a state of the art fitness center.”
CGI features individual and team baseball and softball instruction, 5 batting cages, team packages/workouts/clinics, hitting leagues, daytime junior sluggers programs, college video recruiting services & showcases and a complete pro shop. An expanded birthday party program is now available for kids of all ages.
New to CGI is a brand new fitness center with a state of the art cardio center, yoga & pilates studio, machine and free weight stations for every body part. Shingo Mitsomori, Head of Strength & Conditioning for CGI and CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) is also an instructor for CGI’s baseball program. States Mitsomori; “With the additional fitness center, we now offer sport specific training, personal training, as well as speed, strength and agility training to complement our baseball and softball instruction.
Since 1997, Spring Training Baseball and Softball Academy has instructed many of Long Island’s elite baseball and softball players. STBSA has developed a series of comprehensive and innovative training techniques to enhance each players ability and push them to exceed at all levels. Players of all ages, from Little League to the Major League, have trained at the year-round facility. In fact, over 35 STBSA’s players have gone on to play Division 1 baseball and seven have signed professional contracts.
The area’s most qualified and professional instructors have created a systematic approach to guide all players to completely understand the various fundamentals of hitting, throwing, pitching, fielding and conditioning, as well as the mental part of the game. The facility offers all types of programs to service all of your baseball and softball needs.
Once again, STBSA is proud to be hosting the Town of Huntington’s 2008 summer baseball and softball camps for children aged 4 to 15. Participants in this exciting camp program will be trained by some of the area’s most qualified and professional instructors in a positive and challenging environment, with a ratio of only eight campers to every one instructor.
