November 17, 2008
- The Long Island Storm Runners have upgraded their listing and are now a Partner Team (12u & 9U).
- The Dan Duquette Sports Academy have listed some 2009 tournaments. See the National Tournament section.
- The Long Island Dodgers have changed their team name to the Long Island Crushers (11u).
- The Cooperstown Baseball Classic is now listed in the NY Tournaments section.
- Matt Guiliano’s Play Like a Pro has opened an new facility in Bayshore. Check it out and tell Matt that you found about his new facility throught the Long Island Baseball Directory.
November 10, 2008
- The Long Island Dodgers (11u) and Long Island Storm Runners (12u) have been added.
- Coaches, be sure to schedule your winter training sessions because time slots are filling up quickly. You can find a place to train in the Training Facilities section.
- If you have any fundraising ideas that you would like to share with the rest of Long Island, send us an email. We are currently collecting fundraising ideas to share with all Long Island baseball teams.
- In case you haven’t already heard, the staff from All-Pro Sports is now running Baseball Heaven in Yaphank. The LIBD would like to wish them good luck this winter and into the next baseball season.

- There have been 2 more Fall/Winter clinics listed in the Camps & Clinics section including the NY Mets Fall Baseball clinic and the LI Mudcats Winter Training.
- Some new teams have been listed - LI Mustangs (16u, 17u, 18u) - Hicksville Hurricanes (13u), Spartans Baseball (12u, 13u)
- Congratulations to the LI Baymen Roadrunners for winning the Baseball Heaven 10u Fall League as a true 9u team!
- Coaches and parents, remember to let us know how your teams are doing.
- Be sure to check back over the winter as more winter clinics keep popping up.

- David Wright of the NY Mets will be holding a clinic at Hofstra University on November 1, 2008. Check out the listing on the camps & clinics page. Should you register for the clinic, be sure to let them know that you found out about the clinic on the Long Island Baseball Directory.
- Congratulations to all of Columbus Day tournament winners and the Tri-State Championship tournament winners.
- Dave Rodriguez has been listed in the Private Instruction section for pitching instruction.
- Coaches, be sure post your need for players for next spring by posting a free classified ad on LIBD’s free classifeds board.
- Good luck to all of those teams that are in contention for their respective fall league championships. It’s getting cold out so be sure to dress warm!
